As Hurricane Milton nears, the Chatham-Savannah Authority for the Homeless (CSAH) and its community partners are offering emergency shelters for those in need on Thursday, Oct. 10, and Friday, Oct. 11. The following locations are available:
• Union Mission
120 Fahm St.
(Number of beds to be determined)
• Salvation Army
3100 Montgomery St.
(10 beds for women and 10 beds for men available)
• Come As You Are
4429 Skidaway Rd.
(25 beds available)
CSAH will be providing transportation on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. or until weather conditions make it unsafe. Transportation for Friday, Oct. 11, will be determined based on the weather. For assistance, call 912-790-3400, 912-675-9027, or 912-547-1097.
