In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Chadwick Boseman reveals that Denzel Washington paid for his Oxford education.
Chadwick says that one of his acting teachers, Phylicia Rashad, called upon her celebrity friends to donate money to help him Boseman and his peers attend a prestigious acting program at Oxford University.
Turns out that Denzel was among one of the generous donors who helped fund the 'Black Panther' star's education and the two finally got a chance to meet in person and talk about it.
"I've basically been holding this secret my whole career," he told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show while explaining that he did not want Washington to feel like he owed him anything more.
Chadwick received his chance to thank his benefactor, in person, at the New York premiere of his massively successful film, Marvel's Black Panther.
"I met him, before the article came out," he said. "So, I actually lived up to what I originally wanted to do. It was amazing."
