POOLER, Ga. (WTOC) - The Pooler Police Department confirms one person is dead following a crash Tuesday afternoon.
The deadly crash, involving a pedestrian, happened when traffic was stopped on I-95 due to a previous accident with an over turned tractor trailer.

Pooler Police say a vehicle used the emergency lane to pass stopped traffic, and hit a pedestrian.
The driver, Nathan Whitten, was arrested. He has been charged with Homicide by Vehicle, DUI, Too Fast for Conditions, Reckless Driving, Improper Passing on Left, and Failure to Maintain Lane.
