CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - An explosive find was pulled out of Chatham County waterways. Chatham fire, Garden City Police and a team that specializes in explosives were called out to boat ramp off Ogeechee road.

Self-proclaimed, modern-day treasure hunters said they pulled Civil War era cannon balls right out of the water.

"As soon as I got a glimpse of it close up to see what it was, we were ecstatic. We were jumping up and down and screaming and yelling, we were excited and then we had to calm down and say OK, we've got a bomb on our hands. Maybe we ought to call someone about it." said Kyle Barfield.
