Man shoots wife, granddaughter before killing himself

DARIEN, Ga. (WTOC) - Two people are dead and one person is injured after a shooting in Darien Saturday morning.

McIntosh County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Blount’s Crossing apartment complex just after 9:00 a.m. according to a release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found three people with gunshot wounds in an apartment. The Sheriff’s Office says one person, identified as Raymond Carl Adderly, 60, was found dead at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Adderly’s wife Thea Adderly, 58, was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died. A 17-year-old victim was taken to a hospital where she remains in critical care, according to the release.

Deputies believe Adderly shot his wife and granddaughter before turning the gun on himself. The McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
