Savannah Police investigate deadly shooting at W 36th, Florance streets

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Police are investigating a deadly overnight shooting near the corner of West 36th and Florance streets.

According to the Savannah Police Department, officers responded to the 600 block of W. 36th Street around 1 a.m. and discovered a victim deceased from an apparent shooting. He was identified as 22-year-old Marcos Miranda Jr.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

This is the fifth homicide in the city of Savannah so far this year.
