Neighbors of a Port Wentworth family are organizing a drive thru event this Saturday to help raise money after a devastating fire engulfed their home early Sunday morning leaving them homeless. The Port Wentworth and Pooler Fire Departments worked to put the fire out early last Sunday around 12:00 a.m. The Burroughs family was able to make it out safely but lost their home, two cars, and two pets in the fire.
The Burroughs have two daughters, one of whom is starting school next week.
If you'd like to make a donation, you can drive up to 6 Raintree Way, Port Wentworth, GA 31407 on Saturday from 11:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m to drop off a donation.
