10 coronavirus-related deaths reported in Chatham Co.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) reported 29,437 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state,according to the 7 p.m. Monday (5/4) update.

The total deaths related to COVID-19 in the state are now at 1,243. A total of 5,537 confirmed cases have been hospitalized.

Over 183,000 coronavirus tests have been conducted statewide.

According to the Coastal Health District, a tenth virus-related death was reported in Chatham County on Monday.
