Over 27,000 COVID-19 cases, over 164,000 tests conducted in Ga.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) reported 27,023 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state,according to the 10:25 a.m. Friday (5/1) update.

The total deaths related to COVID-19 in the state are now at 1,140. A total of 5,218 confirmed cases are hospitalized, as of noon on Thursday.

Over 164,000 coronavirus tests have been conducted statewide.
