Ga. surpasses 26,000 positive COVID-19 cases

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) reported 26,033 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state,according to the 12 p.m. Thursday (4/30) update.

The total deaths related to COVID-19 in the state are now at 1,107. A total of 5,110 confirmed cases are hospitalized, as of noon on Thursday.

Over 143,000 coronavirus tests have been conducted statewide.

The Coastal Health District reported two new coronavirus-related deaths in Chatham County on Wednesday. The total number of deaths in the county is now at nine.
