SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A woman was taken to the hospital Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle, the Savannah Police Department (SPD) said.
The incident happened at 11 a.m. at Skidaway Road and E 36th Street.
Police closed down a portion of the roadway as first responders remained on the scene.

No word yet on the extent of the woman's injuries.
The department's Traffic Investigation Unit is looking into the crash, SPD said.
