Savannah officer involved in Effingham crash

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – An officer with the Savannah Police Department (SPD) was involved in a four-vehicle wreck Friday afternoon.

The crash happened around 3:20 p.m. in Effingham County on Highway 30.

SPD said the officer was rear-ended and pushed into another vehicle.

Effingham County investigators say teen killed woman in summer car crash

The officer suffered minor injuries, according to Savannah Police.

No word on other injuries involved in the crash.
