No surprise here, but a new survey finds that most Gen Zers get their recipes from social media rather than cookbooks, cooking shows, or family. According to the survey, 72% of 18 - to 27-year-olds get meal inspiration from places like TikTok (84%) and Instagram (75%), compared to 32% who turn to cookbooks and 45% who ask family and friends. And influencers have more impact on their food choices than professionals. 44% say they trust influencers for food content compared to 39% who look to professional chefs and 34% who tune into cooking shows.
