SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A former Savannah bar employee facing rape charges was in court on Tuesday.
Taylor Tallent faces charges of rape and aggravated sodomy after police say he sexually assaulted someone at Vice Lounge.
At the hearing, prosecutors claimed that Tallent was working as a bouncer at the bar and allowed someone under 21 to enter. When she started to feel unwell after drinking, prosecutors say Tallent carried her into another room at the bar and raped her.
The girl eventually got away and ran to a friend for help.
The judge denied bond for Tallent, saying that’s an issue for a higher court to decide.
Meanwhile the City of Savannah has suspended Vice Lounge’s liquor license, citing ongoing issues at the business, pending a hearing.
