The family of a pedestrian who was killed in an early morning accident on August 29th is trying to raise funds for the funeral.

Savannah Police Department reported a traffic accident around 3:30 a.m. on August 29th. 23-year-old Amber Wilson was walking in the center eastbound lane of the Forest River Bridge on Georgia Highway 204 when she was struck by a man driving an Acura TL. The driver was traveling in the center eastbound lane and noticed Wilson at the last moment. The driver could not avoid impact.

Wilson was then transported to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.

If you'd like to help, Amber's mother Cheryl Wilson has organized a GoFundMe to help pay for funeral costs as Amber did not have insurance.

According to the GoFundMe page, arrangements for Amber's funeral have been made for September 11 and 12. So far $540 has been raised out of their $7,000 goal.
