The Breakfast Club and the Native Land Pod teamed up to cover every moment of election night and debate what's at stake.
On Tuesday night, November 5, DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Loren LaRosa joined forces with Native Land Pod hosts Angela Rye, Andrew Gillum and Tiffany D. Cross for a live broadcast from Howard University in Washington, D.C. during the final hours of the 2024 elections. During their time on the yard, the podcast hosts discussed several hard-hitting topics surrounding the Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and the President-elect Donald Trump. One of their various discussions focused on how the U.S. plans to come together after being divided for so long.
"Regardless of who wins, I think America needs to find a way to come together," Charlamagne said. "Because one thing I'm realizing is none of this matters. The sexism don't matter, the racism don't matter, the antisemitism don't matter, the homophobia don't matter. So what are we going to do as a community, as a society knowing that all of this really does exist among us and we can't be delusional about it anymore."
There were plenty of discussions that went down during the broadcast. The group spoke about the Democratic Party's dependency on diversity and the Trump campaign's "tired playbook full of lies." Andrew Gillum also broke down the meaning of the "red mirage" and how it applied to the overall election results.
