Nicki Minaj's Boyfriend Pleads Guilty To New Offense

Nicki Minaj's boyfriend Kenneth Petty has more legal troubles.

According to TMZ, he recently pled guilty to driving on a suspended license after a police officer said he witnessed Kenneth blowing through a stop sign around 1:30 AM back in September in Long Island. Cops reportedly pulled Kenneth over and discovered he was driving on a suspended license. The 41-year-old recently pled guilty in New York to aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He will now have to pay $88 in fines and clear his license.

As fans know, this isn't the first time Nicki's beau has had trouble with the law. Kenneth is a registered sex offender (he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in April 1995) and he was previously convicted of first-degree manslaughter, which he served seven years in prison for.

Nicki though has seemed unfazed by Kenneth's past. After the "Good Form" rapper went Instagram public with Kenneth in December, fans began slamming him over his criminal history. However, Nicki backed her man, addressing his past on Instagram following the backlash. "He was 15, she was 16... in a relationship," Nicki responded to a fan's comment, referencing Kenneth's rape conviction. "But go awf, Internet. y'all can't run my life. Y'all can't even run y'all own life. Thank you boo." The Queens native also posted two photos of her and Kenneth with the caption: "Oh they wanna talk? Let's give'm sumthn to talk about. *Shania voice*."

Since then, Nicki hasn't stopped gushing about her relationship with Kenneth, detailing NSFW facts about their sex life (she said they have sex three to four times a night), and posting romantic photos of her with her man all over her social media. Most recently, Nicki even referred to Kenneth as her husband, sparking marriage rumors.
