SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah Police Department and Georgia State Patrol are investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.
It happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday night on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near West 38th Street. The Georgia State Patrol tells us a car hit a pedestrian and then drove away.
Police shut down parts of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in both directions during the investigation. Right now, the Serious Crash Reconstruction Team is working to figure out what lead up to the crash.
GSP has taken the lead on the investigatiion.
