Friday Chatham Parkway Toyota presented a $5,000 donation to the Salvation Army to help families left vulnerable by the devastating financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Backed by the vision of the Toyota Lexus Minority Owners Dealership Association, Chatham Parkway Toyota and the Salvation Army are addressing the increasing food shortage across its community by filling pantries of families in need. The dealership will also help contribute to Loop It Up Savannah, a non-profit community art program, giving the organization 100 art kits from the Salvation Army.
“These are hard times for a lot of people around here,” says Harry Chaney, General Manager of Chatham Parkway Toyota. “We want to help. It’s an honor for us to help. We hope this donation goes a long way in people’s lives and lets them know there are people out here who care about them.”
