DRAKE: 6 God Slips Off Billboard Charts

TeeRoy's 2 Centst:

  • There’s a silver lining for the 6 God: He’s solidified his record for the longest uninterrupted run on the Billboard Hot 100 at an incredible 430 weeks.
  • Eminem achieved a similar milestone — his greatest-hits album is the longest-charting rap album ever at 350 weeks.
  • At OVO Fest, Drake revealed he's working on a new album in Toronto. So he won't be missing from the charts for long.
  • People think it's crazy when Drake calls himself a legend, but the numbers back him up.
  • Nothing lasts forever.

After a reign of eight years, two months and 23 days, the 6 God is M.I.A. from the chart. Last week, “Passionfruit” was number-81 and “Signs” was sitting at number-100, but this week, both records have slipped off the single chart.

That means the latest Billboard singles chart is the first one not to feature a song from Drake (either as lead or guest artist) since he first made his Billboard debut on May 23rd, 2009 with “Best I Ever Had.” In that time, Drake has made a total of 155 appearances -- including 20 in the Top 10 -- on the Billboard Hot 100, second only to the cast of Glee (207).
