Protesters Knock Down Confederate Statue

In the wake of the "rally" carried out by white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virgina, North Carolina protesters decided to organize their own rally by removing a confederate statue. It happened outside of the Old Durham County courthouse in Durham, NC.

According to The Shade Room,

The Durham monument is of a uniformed soldier with “In memory of the boys who wore the gray,” inscribed at its base. Witnesses say that a woman climbed onto the statue and tied a rope around it, then the crowd helped to actually pull it down. They cheered “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA!” as the statue came toppling down.
