An abandoned dog has been rescued after a woman spotted the dog on Google Maps Street View. Jennifer Velaquez reached out to the Los Angeles-based group Hope For Paws for help. Eldad Hagar from Hopes For Paws found the dog right front of the building where it was initially photographed. Hagar, who named the dog Sonya, filmed the rescue effort. He lured the dog to a parking lot where he was able to enclose the dog. Sonya was then taken to a vet where it was revealed that she had several tumors and arthritis. She was given medical treatment and eventually taken in by a foster family.
